Wildness

What would the world be, once bereft
Of wet and wildness? Let them be left,
O let them be left, wildness and wet,
Long live the weeds and the wildness yet.

~Gerard Manley Hopkins, Inversnaid

*This photo was shot in Gaylord, MI and I believe it is a part of Kolke Creek.

Yes! Let them be left, wildness and wet. Let them be left UN landscaped and not all turned into human friendly terrain, please.

Oddly enough I was taking some shots of a wetland with cattails yesterday. This time of year there is so much hope in their re-birth of melting snow and ice. Good shot!
