Marshlands of Seney National Wildlife Refuge

Seney National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of numerous wetlands and deciduous and coniferous trees on 95,000 acres in the Upper Peninsula. I posted last year about Seney and I can't stop talking about it. It is my favorite place to photograph, hike and observe wildlife. If you want to experience such vast, unspoiled magnificent wilderness then you will love this place. It is addicting!
(I'll be posting the birds I observed there on my birding blog at www.birdinginmichigan.blogspot.com . )

Some of the wetlands are picture below. I'll post more photos in the upcoming weeks.

Images from Seney National Wildlife Refuge

Last August we traveled to Seney National Wildlife Refuge which is located on 95,000 acres in the Upper Peninsula. Now that I have a better camera, we are looking forward to visiting again this year. If you like opportunities for wildlife observation and photography - this place is heaven. A sampling of the wildlife we saw were Loons, Trumpeter Swans, Sandhill Cranes, Monarch Butterflies and Osprey. You can bike, hike, canoe and more. Here are some images to give you a feel for the 95,000 acre refuge.
