What would the world be, once bereft
Of wet and wildness? Let them be left,
O let them be left, wildness and wet,
Long live the weeds and the wildness yet.
~Gerard Manley Hopkins, Inversnaid
*This photo was shot in Gaylord, MI and I believe it is a part of Kolke Creek.

o' and it is a must, got to aplena this summer and check out the lake and thunder bay river.....breath taking views everywhere....must have seen over 50 deer on the way over and back, so amazing and tranquil....have a great day! :)
Beautiful, love the relfection of the trees in the water. Funny to see green trees and snow.
Very pretty. Such a clear day.
Yes! Let them be left, wildness and wet. Let them be left UN landscaped and not all turned into human friendly terrain, please.
Oddly enough I was taking some shots of a wetland with cattails yesterday. This time of year there is so much hope in their re-birth of melting snow and ice. Good shot!
Nature Lovin - I do not know the controversey behind Kolke creek - please do share! It was a great weekend up north - nice to feel the sun!
Darla - Thank you - I just love the evergreens!
