What a great quote! That animal looks cozy in its winter coat. Perfectly natural for an animal of that breed to be shaggy this time of year. Betsy, usually the only cattle that receive a bath are those about to enter the show ring. Then they even get their tails combed and hooves polished! Grandkids show their 4-H cattle. It's fun.

Thank you everyone for visiting! By the way- the fence that was surrounding this cow consisted of 2 wires only knee high! I can only assume that it's an electric fence?? And Sue - when I stepped out of the car and was snapping photos only 10 feet away - I did think I should be running! LOL!
