Bird weather

My favorite weather is bird-chirping weather. ~Loire Hartwould

*The Common Redpolls and the Pine Siskins still have not migrated onward which means Michigan has more snow in store for her. Though they are feeder hogs, I did enjoy their company this morning and was able to get a few of them to eat out of my hand. If you would like to see those photos, please click here.

You got some great pictures today. I have enjoyed the bird song each morning lately. I have cardinals building a nest near the bedroom window. They are fascinating to watch. I hope to get some photos to post - wish you were here to assist me!

Though they are very pretty, WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO LEAVE?? They'll be here longer than the robins!! LOL!!

Beautiful shot of the redpoll. I still have siskins here but didn't have a single redpoll and you are right, snow is on the way..

I just viewed your bird whisperer photos! Good thing you and the birds color coordinated your photo shoot!

They are pretty little birds, aren't they?

We have a glut of finches ( purple or house, not sure, but they are all bright red)pine siskins and chickadees. They are all squabbling over the feeders.....are the Redpolls like that?

Mildred - thank you and how great that you'll have a cardinals nest. Their babies are usually pretty demanding - lol!

Cindy - I don't think they're leaving - LOL!!

Betsy - I'm so glad - they are sweet little things!

Rambling - I am overflowing w/ siskins. I am expecting an avalanche. :-)

Kathy - I think they did like my red fleece - ha,ha!

Cedar - I'm glad you think so!!

Darla - you and me both! I did have some crocuses pop up - I'm going to post them and dedicate them to you!

Tina - I thought that would be your favorite kinda weather too - lol! If you could see those redpolls just curiously looking at your face - you'd fall in love too!

Busy Bee - well I know they like plump girls that give them thistle! Ha,ha!

Ashley - thank you! This one was a female but I think as equally as beautiful as the male.

Nature Lovin - I swear when we are at our cabin and I am sleeping - I hear them singing "get up Shelley and feed us now!" ha,ha!

Retired One - this thistle is breaking my bank account! :)

Deborah - that is such a good description - now I will think of them w/ berets on their head. (Wait - that's a prince song - she wore a raspberry beret.....) :-)

Robert - thank you! I had a cooperative birdy!

Fantastic photo! I need to put out a better bird-feeder in my back yard. I have one in my front yard, but I don't have a good spot to take photos of it.
