Jensen's Nature Trail - Part II

Here are some more photos from our leisurely hike at Jensen's Nature Trail located off Old 27 in Gaylord. I loved how some of the trees were marked so you could verify the identity of them. They have a nice winding path and you can take either the 1 mile or 3/4 mile hike. There is a large mossy bog, beech trees, soft maple, white pine, remnants of blackberry bushes and much more. I think this would make a lovely place to go snow shoeing in the winter.

I'm still loving all of those leaves on the ground. I can hear the crunching as I look at these.

Shelly,
I would love to stop by the Jensen Nature Trail the next time we are up at out place in Lake Arrowhead. I'm unfamiliar with its location, could you clue me in?
Thanks!

Oh, and I am so jealous that you were able to spend an entire week, with perfect weather no less, up north. We hope to get back up sometime in December...

Jackie - my dad's place used to be on Lake Arrowhead - I grew up going there as a young girl!
The jensen's nature trail is right off Old 27 - if you're heading down towards downtown Gaylord - it will be on your right hand side - a couple miles from passenheim. I think pretty close to otsego state park which is on the opposite side. Hope this helps!
