White-breasted Nuthatch

I am posting this White-breasted Nuthatch for my hubby today as this is one of his favorites birds. They are always such busy little things and I like how they climb down the tree headfirst looking for food. But on this day in October, he was enjoying my peanut feeder.

Aren't you the sweet little wife? Great photos, birds amaze me, can't photograph them very well so I enjoy seeing all of my fellow bloggers post about them.

I love to see them, too. but they don't come often around here. I did have a brown creeper recently.

I like to hear them call, so loud and strong for a little bird.

Great contrast of colors (gray foreground and colors in back) and texture (blur in back and vivid geometry on front right).

I have both the white and red breasted nuthatches here in the Adirondacks. They are favorites of mine too,... love their little "squeaking" sound. What a great photo you got!

Tina - he definitely prefers the peanuts to the suet!

Denise - thank you!

Rambling - like that name - little nutty!

Darla - it takes me about 10-15 photos (if they give me the time) in order to get one good shot of these birdies!

Deborah - I have never seen a brown creeper but would like to!

Femin - thank you! Also for coming by! I'll be over to visit!

Benny & Patsy - you are right!

Robert - thank you very much!

Cedar - I have been waiting for the red-breasted ones...no luck yet!
