I just love your snow scenes, Shelley, your photos are always so poetic and lovely, but I have to say today I am glad to look out my window and see winter grass and no snow! lol!!

As you know Shelley, we use ALOT of wood in our fireplace---ALL winter. SO--we order our supply of wood a year ahead of time--just so it will age. As your quote says, OLD WOOD is better.

Beautiful snow scene!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

We've certainly had a 'postcard pretty' Michigan winter so far! Your posts are lovely. Happy Holidays!

Lovely photo, reminds me of the last line of Robert Frost's poem The Wood-pile, about the ..."smokeless burning of decay"
Old wood makes the best fires, but if you wait too long, the fire goes out of it!

I have never heard that quote before, but it is so very true! My new year's wish for you is many happy moments with all four of those things!

Whoever stacked that wood did a great job. Very meticulous. A pretty pic, by you, as usual! :)
