Otsego Lake State Park

"Thinking is more interesting than knowing, but less interesting than looking."

-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I visited Otsego Lake State Park this past snowy weekend. I wish I had brought my snowshoes. I had wanted to walk to this bench to sit and look at the snowy lake - but there was a snow bank and deep snow preventing a walk without wet pants afterwards. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

very peaceful and beautiful sight. I to would have wanted to sit on the bench.

We got about 3 inches of snow over the weekend. As of later today we are under a Winter Storm Watch--anywhere from 6-15 inches where I'm at! I have a feeling we will be snowed in, within the next 24 hours. I will post pictures.

I have been enjoying catching up this morning.
Your snow photographs are beautiful and the eagle on your header is amazing! We have snow in our forecast for tomorrow. Never as much as you get! I have never worn snow shoes...

Still no snow here in the eastern side of the Adirondacks. I am hoping we do get some and are able to have a White Christmas!

Looks like it would be hard to know where was ground and where was lake. Dangerous in my mind, but you probably already know the line to cross, or not to cross.

It does look very inviting...and the kid part of us would have climbed, slid and puffed our way to the bench..but the parental part of us says, oh..what about getting wet? I, sometime, forget about my kid part until I have one of my grandkids with me...and off they go!! lol! Another great photo. Do you create hard copy albums with your photos? They are always so beautiful!
