Your lake looks nice and quiet. Are you on a no-motor lake?

I love the photo and that quote is very true for me, but I would need snowshoes to get around our pond now..

Beautiful lake--although it looks COLD!!! There are several lakes in our area--and golf courses. We opted to live on a golf course (we don't play golf) for the privacy, but there are some gorgeous homes on the lakes around here. We like to drive around and see the Christmas colors on and along the lakes.
Hugs,
Betsy

What a view. Looks mighty cold though... not that it's a bad thing. :-)

Shelley - the pictures on here over the past several weeks have been beautiful. I wish I could get out more to take the types of pictures that I want to take but with my boys right now it is a bit difficult. In a few years I'll be able to do more of the images that I want to do though.

A walk around the lake,... or a walk in the woods, anytime we are out in nature is good for sorting out our thoughts. But there is always something calming about being near the water. Nice photo,..I'd like to be walking by your lake right now!

Dear Shellmo,
Michigan looks to be very beautiful in the winter. This lake is lovely and looks to be a quiet place to walk. I feel the need to go stretch my legs. No lakes near my house but I do know of a little pond. Thank you for the inspiration.
Happy Christmas.

A beautiful winter scene. We haven't had substantial snowfall here yet, so your winter photos give me a taste of what is coming.
