That almost looks like a white ribbon wound around that tree trunk. Must have been the way the wind was blowing and how the snow caught in the tree's bark. Interesting!
Shelley, You know that my favorite snow pictures are ones like yours--where the snow clings to all of the trees. I love seeing evergreen trees filled with snow also... OH---what I can I say??? I love trees--and we have a 'gob' of them in our yard!!! Hugs, Betsy
Oh my goodness. That is absolutely breathtaking. You are sooooooooooo lucky to get to experience the seasons. Enjoy! As to your comment on Dawnie's blog, I think if I had a flask, I'd put wine in mine too!! Happy Valentines Day! Karen
Beautiful photo!!! I LOVE the snow, and here in "southern" Michigan all our snow melted the last couple of days..... I hope we get more! How creative is that God of ours?
I love "Up North" and have appointed myself the unofficial travel ambassador for Northern Michigan. There are so many great things to do - visit the State Parks, ski, snowmobile, view elk, see the moose of Isle Royale, hike, kayak, visit a winery, bird watch and so much more. Please join me in my travels. -Shelley

No matter how much I hate being snowed in here in Michigan, you cannot beat the beauty of the trees in the snow.........
So pretty....so pristine looking.
That is a cool comment about it looking like ribbon. I was going to say that it looked like someone painted snow on it to make it pretty!
The artistic touch of God!! Never ceases to amaze me.
I love trees. Beautiful photo.

Great Photo Shellmo:) The tree looks tempting enough to try to climb:) lol! Happy Almost Friday!
Yes, Cedar's comment said it best - 'white ribbon". I was thinking "barber pole" but that's to prosaic. It's a ribbon - lovely!
Oh my..I too thought it looked like a ribbon ...beautiful
Now that is just awesome!!!
It really does favor a white ribbon on the tree - Beautiful shot!
I love the patterns of the snow outlining the dark tree trunks and branches.
That tree is a snow hog: it almost looks impossible how thick it's piled up on the branches. Must be sticky snow.
