Shelley---that's MY kind of snow... One that clings to everything. I love that picture, not just the birdhouse--but especially all of the snow on EVERY limb!!!! Gorgeous. Hugs, Betsy
This has nothing to do w/ the proverb, but I want to take flight... all the way to Tahiti! Far away from here, for a while anyway! I love your photo - the birdhouse looks so good in all that snow!
Thank you very much for your comment on my post today - I sure hope Justin will see the light too & soon! I miss Jilly so much!
ok, this is getting ridiculous. there is just no way you can have that much beauty in one place! everybody else in the world would be living in northern michigan.(even if it is filled with yankees!)
tell the truth. you're stealing these AWESOME pics from all over the 'net aren't you? i knew it.
That reminds me I have to get The Bennie to put up our blue bird house. We have been seeing groups of blue birds every afternoon. Love the picture. patsy
When it snowed while I was in Rockwood (before vacation) I saw a birdhouse we have in our yard that I had not even noticed was there before. The snow on the roof of it caught my eye.
I love "Up North" and have appointed myself the unofficial travel ambassador for Northern Michigan. There are so many great things to do - visit the State Parks, ski, snowmobile, view elk, see the moose of Isle Royale, hike, kayak, visit a winery, bird watch and so much more. Please join me in my travels. -Shelley

That is such a cool looking picture!
I love that the only real color is the birdhouse. You couldn't have staged that one any better.
What an interesting photo with all those snow covered branches. Always a pleasure to visit with you.
the birdhouse is a patch of color in the middle of the white snow. Nice shot!

I would so frame that photo along with about 100 of your photos.
Great quote too!

Shell,
I agree with Wendy, the birdhouse stands out against all of nature.

So pretty how the snow clings to the branches and nestled in the center is the little brown bird house... a beautiful photo!
Hug♥
Beautiful photo! I love how all the snow is just hanging on the trees. That is the part of winter that I enjoy.
LOVE that picture. Your great with photos.
great photo, I am always afraid to take those types of photo's (straight into the woods) But yours looks fantastic. Happy Friday!

Thanks for the kind comment on my photo of the bushfire sun.
This is a beautiful composition. Lovely camera work.
Oh wow..that is so serene looking..
Very nice. The thickness of the branches and the snow really conveys the closed in feeling of winter.
Thank you everyone for stopping by and for your kind comments! I appreciate it so much!

Cool! I like that one little bright bird house in the midst of all of that snow and branches.
SO gorgeous!!!
What kind of camera do you use? Your pictures always look so perfect!!!
All that snow definitely makes that cozy little house pop!! That snow looks light and fluffy...but still cold!
