Snowy Nose

This little guy was raiding my bird feeders all morning. I let him. He looked so cold and I knew he was hungry. This isn't a sharp photo but I liked the snow on his face. Hoping for warmer days ahead for my black squirrel!

I know, those poor hungry, cold squirrels. We feed them shelled corn to keep them out of the bird feeders, but they still sneak in them every now and then. Have a great evening.

Holy Cow, Shelley---I thought that was a little black bear!!!!!! I wondered why he was THERE and why you were feeding him... WELL--whatever he was, I'm sure you'd want to feed him.

It's getting very cold here tonight and tomorrow.. My birds are eating like crazy today!!! They know that something is up!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

Too cute! How precious is he? I let the squirrels raid my bird feeder too. I don't have the heart to chase them off, but my dog would dearly love the opportunity to chase them away. lol

I don't blame you. The food should be for everyone, don't you think? Well, sometimes anyway. Especially in this weather.

You and fishing guy with your black squirrels....we have those drab gray ones, although aross town there are a lot of white ones, they are pretty neat too. Love the snow, BIG surprise there huh?

Shelley, I'm glad you let him eat! I like squirrels, too, and I'm sure he was hungry. They are fun to watch. We don't have any black ones around here.

I thought it was a bear, too! You could have pretended it was a bear, and nobody would ever have known!

I saw that it was 11 below this AM at home and the low was going to be -22. Brrr!! Hope this cold spell passes soon--my guilt is getting the best of me.

When this page opened, I thought "Oh look, a bear!" Oops. Nope, squirrel! He looks cold and cute. We only get red squirrels around our farm (and chipmunks and the resident Mr. Ratty!)

He looks pretty cute. I'd have to feed him too. Your squirrel has some healthy looking fur.
