You are so talented. The horses stand out so well against the snow. The picture reminds me so of my grandpa. In his later years, he loved for us to drive him around in the country to see the horses. Thanks for the memories today. Have a quiet, lovely evening.
Oh, how we miss living on the horse farms. All my husband's working life he ran the broodmare or stallion divisions of horse farms. We miss the sights, the sounds, the smells and the closeness of this animal. We miss it much. Thanks for the beauty.
I love to see the beauty of winter through your pictures. Have you been to http://sarasanimalfarm.blogspot.com You can get there from my blog. Sara is going to have 2 colts soon. She has other animals to. patsy
Mildred - I am amateurish compared to so many of these wonderful photography blogs that I visit - but I do enjoy photographing what I see and love best - nature and family.
Pam - That was a lot of hay - wasn't it? LOL!
Country Girl - in my daydreams I think of owning horses....then hubby snaps me out of reality! lol!
Benny & Patsy - thank you for the link - i will visit!!
I love horse though I've never ridden one. Great shot. It always amazes me that we have to get all bundled up to prevent hypothermia while the animals need to do nothing.
I love "Up North" and have appointed myself the unofficial travel ambassador for Northern Michigan. There are so many great things to do - visit the State Parks, ski, snowmobile, view elk, see the moose of Isle Royale, hike, kayak, visit a winery, bird watch and so much more. Please join me in my travels. -Shelley

Chestnut horses and the unblemished snow - it's a pinto landscape!
