Farm in Gaylord

best red barn

“Only he can understand what a farm is, what a country is, who shall have sacrificed part of himself to his farm or country, fought to save it, struggled to make it beautiful. Only then will the love of farm or country fill his heart.”

- Antoine de Saint-Exupery quotes (French Pilot, Writer and Author of 'The Little Prince', 1900-1944)

Shelley,
Love those barn reds against the whites of winter. A lovely scene, one that is usually an inspiration for a water color painting or better yet a quilt!! ;-)

Ginger - the place was amazing! I'll have to go back and shoot more photos as I was pressed for time on this day.

Anna - I promise - my header will change as soon I find that photo that speaks to me! But I am fascinated by the circle of nature. :)

Darla - thank you! I was ready to walk up to the barn to see if there were any animals for me to pet! They did have horses which I'll post later this week.

Cedar - sometimes I used to dream of owning a farm...

Betsy - thank you - glad you loved this big ole barn!

Sit a Spell - there is a free ranging herd in Vanderbilt and a fenced in herd in Gaylord. Beautiful to behold!

Pam - I'm glad you recognize this barn! This was the 1st time I had seen it and thought it must be the most beautiful barn in Otsego County!

Deborah - thank you! It looked like it had been freshly painted this past summer which was good for photo taking!

Nature Lovin - tks for the info on the snow shoeing! Usually we are just up here for the weekend but I am hoping to spend longer weeks up here!
