Time to dock

When I saw my neighbor beach his rowboat, I knew this was another sign that Fall is fast approaching.

My "sign" today was seeing orange pumpkins at the end of one of the farm laneways on my road. I emphasize "orange" because the pumpkins I'm growing are still green!

I'm still wearing shorts and deluding myself into thinking summer will last forever, even as the leaves are falling on my lawn. I'm looking forward to seeing autumn photos on your blog. I'm sure you must get spectacular leaf displays... I figure you're probably farther north than I am! I'm about the same latitude as Ottawa.

Oh, I know that feeling, when the "summer people" leave! Gets kinda lonely here the day after Labor Day! We complain about the "crowds" (non-existent this year) all summer, and then wish they were back when the days get short and no cars drive down our road.

Darla - I'll leave flower Identification to you - lol!

Knatolee - Hope you post pics of your pumpkins! I've always wanted a pumpkin patch in a former life...

Mona - so true!!
