April is Michigan Wine Month! There are over 50 wineries in Michigan. Did you know that Michigan is the fourth largest grape growing state? Take advantage of the fun wine events going on throughout the year in northern Michigan. My personal favorite is the Blues & Wine Festival in Northport on August 9th. They have a themed doggy parade every year to kick it off and it is just adorable to see those dogs dressed up! I will be posting my Michigan winery visits throughout the year. We have 4 or 5 wineries in our area and I have never visited one of them. I should drag my husband around to them someday. The only winery I've ever been to is the one at the Biltmore in Ashville. I really enjoyed that visit.
