We visited Northport this past weekend located in the northern tip of Leelanau County on Grand Traverse Bay. They were having their annual wine and blues festival (which will be a future blog post this week!) It's a sleepy town with fruit orchards, art galleries, a marina filled with dream worthy boats and beautiful sandy beaches.

Michigan Wine Month!
April is Michigan Wine Month! There are over 50 wineries in Michigan. Did you know that Michigan is the fourth largest grape growing state? Take advantage of the fun wine events going on throughout the year in northern Michigan. My personal favorite is the Blues & Wine Festival in Northport on August 9th. They have a themed doggy parade every year to kick it off and it is just adorable to see those dogs dressed up! I will be posting my Michigan winery visits throughout the year.
