Winter Road

"I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show."

-Andrew Wyeth

Shellmo,
These pictures really do set a mood and your choice of quotes really adds to its affect. Not living very far from Chadd's Ford, home of Andrew Wyeth, he is one of my favorite artists. If you ever get to Pa. and are near The Brandywine Museum you have to put it on your list of to dos! It is a pretty awesome place.Love your new id pic!!

Oh the snow - We don't get a lot of snow here in SE Missouri - I wish we did though. Your photos are very nice, reminds me of the country out by my parents farm.
Thank you for adding me to your list.

Shelley - Are you doing these road pictures just for me???? How sweet! We have a couple inches of snow now! The kids love it. I have to get some local snow pictures up on my blog.

I love these photographs ( I sure you knew I would) even if it makes me cold all over to look at them.

These are so great. I'me envious of both the fall and winter in these photos. It's supposed to be 90 today. At least I can escape for a minute in your wonderful photos. :-)

Shellmo,

These photos are gorgeous! I can't help but think of Thanksgiving and walking through the woods with the leaves crunching underfoot. I really enjoy your photography and I am sincerely jealous of the beautiful landscapes surrounding you in your log cabin. =o)

Ms. Hays - thank you!!

Wendy - yes - you must start sharing your snow photos. I'll be posting more on my log cabin blog.

Leedra - Wasn't as cold as you think this day - but it will be soon! :-0

2Sweet - I'll probably be craving the warmer weather come january!

Hi Melissa- these trees actually surround my in-laws cabin - They are real deep in the woods!

More great shots. I'm with Tina. They're definitely mood setting. I can almost smell the wood from someone's fireplace unseen.
