The snow fairy has visited northern Michigan. She is mixing her snow magic on the lakes right now as they get ready to freeze and quiet up for the winter.

What a lovely pic, is that on your lake? Our lake is frozen over, with just a hint of an ice layer.
That is so lovely, love the snow on the banks.
The smaller lakes and ponds here in the Adirondacks have iced over, but the larger ones are still waiting. I liked your words "quiet up for the winter"...
Picture perfect.

That photo is absolutely gorgeous!!!
The perfect header pic. You can send some of the snow down here to SE Missouri if you want. We hardly ever get any snow and I sooo want some this year! White Christmas, oh how I wish!
Hi Denise! That's actually the bigger lake on the other side of us. Our small lake is like yours - a little frozen over.
Darla - thank you!
Cedar - Can't wait to see more photos of your neck of the woods!
B&P thanks so much!
Ms. hays - I'm sending some snow your way!
Hi Shellmo- I'll add your blog to my blogroll on getoffthecouchnews.blogspot.com. Nice stuff.
Shellmo, that's a great picture of the lake. I scrolled down and took a look at the thermometer you have on your sidebar. You are warming up Thurs...to 35* brrrrr.

Beautiful pic, but one I want to view from inside my family room from my laptop :) Thanks..
I see your comments often on the blogs I visit and wanted to say hi. My husband is from Detroit and his family had homes in N. MI also. It's fun to see your lovely photos because they put an image with the stories I've heard from him over the years. I see you have a birthday on Friday. Hope it is the best - maybe you'll win Jen's giveaway.
A beautiful winter scenic. We have no snow on the ground, but that will soon change.
I love pictures of snow because we don't get any here unless you live up in the mountains. This is wonderful! :-)
Lovely photo, and I am sure (hope)you will share with us the frozen lake when it happens. I like to see the snow, but don't want to be out in it very much. My photography is about all that pulls me out there.
Sharkbytes - thank you! I've added you as well.
Ginger - As long as the wind is not blowing - I can tolerate the 35 degrees - lol!
Tina - I like to watch it fall from inside the cabin!
Hi Mildred - thank you for stopping by - I'm glad you enjoyed my part of Michigan! :-)
Willard - What's your forecast say?
2 sweet - glad I could share my snow flakes w/ you!
Leedra - I think the snow pulls me out there because it's like a whole new secret world to photograph. i will definitely share freeze up on the big lakes. Our lake is covered w/ a thin layer of ice w/ snow on top - I'll be posting that on the log blog.
Beautiful photo! I enjoyed your blog thoroughly..
I just wanted to say, I stumbled across your blog and love it!
You take the most amazing pictures. Northern Michigan is a beautiful place.
Michelle - thank you and I'll be over to visit yours shortly! :-)
Ashley - you are very nice! I'll be over to visit yours too!!
Charli & me - I like to think it's my slice of heaven... :-)
The Snow Fairy hasn't visited us in Washington State at Sea level yet. Interestingly, we really havn't had even a really hard frost yet. Just a couple of mild frosts so far. Enjoy your Winter and your own personal Nature.
