Wish I had found your blog before our week long trip to the UP. We had a great time. The color was at its peak in the Porkies. I am slowing getting the trip on my blog: http://colorado-lifestyle.blogspot.com
The colors in my photos look muted compared to what was in my iphoto and certainly don't begin to capture the true vibrancy we saw.
thanks for the note on my blog and your prayers for my little man ... we keep his blog updated.. we started it when we were at Stanford 3 years ago.. www.whomagoo.blogspot.com
I've responded to you a couple times via email to your comment, only to realize later that it's "noreply"... do you have an email? If you are interested in sending me an email.. mine is tigggrr37@aol.com
We actually got very lucky over that wood burning stove.. we were listening to "Tradio" up in Utah.. it's like a classifieds ad via the radio.. it's actually pretty funny... and very country... but that stove is great.... unlike the brand new ones that don't allow you to burn coal and have have some kind of converter in it... and none of them allow you to blow the hot air thru the stove anymore... they blow over the top...
I love "Up North" and have appointed myself the unofficial travel ambassador for Northern Michigan. There are so many great things to do - visit the State Parks, ski, snowmobile, view elk, see the moose of Isle Royale, hike, kayak, visit a winery, bird watch and so much more. Please join me in my travels. -Shelley
