Another reason to love northern Michigan is the beautiful sunsets you get to witness on any of their many lakes. This was taken on Big Bradford Lake in Gaylord, Michigan.

Sunsets are my favourite pictures. I've seen more sunsets than sunrises, because the latter are so early. It's a beautiful photo!
Oh and thank you for the visit!
A beautiful sunset!
I have heard about your elk herd in Michigan, but never had the opportunity to see it.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Reader Wil - thank you for coming by! I enjoyed your blog!
Willard - many thanks! I have a picture of one elk in my earlier posts - need to get out and photograph them some more!
I love the softness to this sunset. I never tire of seeing sunset photos. One of my favorite things to photograph. My first trip to Petoskey I went through close to four rolls of film just taking pictures of the sunsets. I need to go back now that I have switched to digital, I'm sure I could fill a memory card or two.
I can just imagine the peace and serenity!
This sunset is beautiful!
I enjoy twilight too and watch as the fireflies come out and the first stars.
Lovely summer sunset.

Christy - Petoskey does have so many great photo opportunities!
Naturegirl - I agree - sunsets are so peaceful.
Q - thank you!!
Lovely sunset.
BTW, if Shellmo liked the dog on the beach, he may also enjoy http://hotdoghaiku.blogspot.com/
PS I looked your wonderful log cabin blog. What a great place to live!
Beautiful!!
I grew up on Big Bradford and there is nothing the quite matches up to the sunset on that lake!!!!
Catherine - how nice that you grew up on that lake! We are on little Bradford - but I do love Big Bradford all the same!
