Marshlands of Seney National Wildlife Refuge

Seney National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of numerous wetlands and deciduous and coniferous trees on 95,000 acres in the Upper Peninsula. I posted last year about Seney and I can't stop talking about it. It is my favorite place to photograph, hike and observe wildlife. If you want to experience such vast, unspoiled magnificent wilderness then you will love this place. It is addicting!
(I'll be posting the birds I observed there on my birding blog at www.birdinginmichigan.blogspot.com . )

Some of the wetlands are picture below. I'll post more photos in the upcoming weeks.

These are really beautiful photos. I think I will have to visit northern Michigan sometime to take some photos of my own.

I really need to get my butt in gear and make back up to the UP. I have only been twice. Once on a high school choir trip to Escanaba, where being dumb hs students we tried to rock the bus while going over the Mackinaw bridge chanting "I want to be a statistic". I know really dumb. And then again in 96 to Houghton to see the Michigan Tech snow fest. I really need to go again.

I love to see pictures of some of the northern areas of the U.S. Thanks for posting them! I would really love to see some video clips of the area, with the sounds of the birds or other creatures that live there. Maybe in the future?! Thanks again for taking me up north for awhile! (You can visit my blog to travel down south!)

Christy - very funny about your bus story - glad I wasn't on it as I do have a fear when I drive over the bridge!

Adventures in Nature - thank you and looking forward to viewing your blog next!
